We are a small team working on a full scale app on two platforms, with 10s of daily code commits. We keep very busy and dont get a lot of time to go through our emails. It all starts with user experience. We at meritlist have adopted a customer-centric approach in almost all our departments. We are working hard to build beautiful, robust and easy-to-use mobile apps for students so that they can focus on learning and not on how to use our app. We need developers who share this vision and deeply understand what makes a good product from a usability point of view.

What you'll do

Work with our iOS team to brainstorm ideas, implement new features, resolve bugs and review code. Ensuring the app is stable, runs smoothly and almost never fails. Also coming up with ideas as to how we could take mankind out of this galaxy.

Who are we looking for

We are looking for awesome programmers who are excited by new technical challenges and have creative skills to come up with unique and efficient ways to solve problems. Should have a Software engineer/computer science or similar degree (we also welcome online course degress). And solid experience of developing iOS apps. Mostly we are looking for passionate individuals, who love staying up nights coding.

What would be your pay

As a startup we like to keep our operations lean, and in an early stage we will be pushing all our resources (read: money) into growth of the company. We pay ourselves not in money/equity but by the feedback we get from the user on using our app. Their satisfaction is our reward. At the same time we'd like to pay you a handsome amount in form of stock options and salary to not discourage you from working with us. Expect an annual package of Rs 8 lac pa.
We are looking for a backend engineer with relevant AWS experience to manage our backend services. We are talking about high scalability and fast response times. Our company relies heavily on AWS to build our backend services, using serverless architecture. Use schema-less style DynamoDB to store student and other app data and cognito sync to access user data directly through the app.

What you'll do

You will lead the backend team and collaborate with other team members and the app team to solve technical problems and implement new features. Architect, design, develop, deploy and operate our web services which will handle thousands of queries a minute. And include security features to keep the data secure and protect the company's assets.

Who are we looking for

You must be an experienced solution architect having worked with AWS for atleast an year And/Or have some sort of AWS certification. You have good problem solving skills and have deep understanding of system design, data structure, data security, user access and distributed systems.

We are looking for a Social media guru who loves being online and connecting with new people leveraging various networks. We need an expert who can design/distribute successful marketing campaigns to make our user signup curve look like this .

What you'll do

Create social marketing campaigns/ blog posts on social platforms and our website to improve visibility of our product. You will also get a chance to work with our app team to come up with strategies to improve user retention and referral rate. Have connections with the PR people and seek opportunities to create viral news/interview campaigns.

Who are we looking for

Anyone who has that creative edge to make our campaigns stand out from the crowd. Make our brand unique and powerful and help our company reach its true potential. You must have insights and relevant marketing experience to students age: 13-18 to spread the word and get them to use our product.

What would be your pay
